Sports Center

Sports is an important part of the Boys & Girls Club experience. Opportunities occur throughout the year for our members to particpate in a variety of sports which provides them the ability to learn about leadership, teamwork, goal-setting, and the importance of staying physically fit. The B&GC has their own volleyball and basketball leagues. They also sponsor a football team - "The Twisters" - which has teams for the 2nd-3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. They play in the fall in the Lawrence Youth Football League. B&G Cheer provides instruction in competitive cheer and the ability for many to participate in both cheer, dance, and tumbling. In the Summer, the B&GC sponsors different teams in Parks and Recreation Baseball leagues.
